World Breastfeeding Week was observed from 1st to 7th August on the theme “Invest in Breastfeeding – Invest in the Future” organized by the 4th year B.Sc. (N) students under the guidance of the OBG department. An awareness reel on Breastfeeding was done emphasizing the importance of breastfeeding and breast feeding positions, health education was given at Government Hospital, Honavar and St. Ignatius Hospital Honavar, a photo competition, quiz competition and role play on breastfeeding was held throughout the week. On the last day a stage programme was held with a panel discussion and distribution of prizes to the winners of the competitions.
